Description

Our perfect combination : you can use it to season your salads, but it also goes perfectly with meat, particularly pork and lamb, but also white fish. It is exceptional on foie gras. Among vegetables it goes best with potatoes. It is the ideal companion for white cheeses and particularly goats' cheese. It is perfect for making pasta, canned foods, gherkins and other pickles, but it is in desserts that you can surprise your guests, with fruits - melon, strawberries, cherries, apples and pears and especially with chocolate.

The Voatsiperifery is the fruit of a vine belonging to the Piperaceae botanical family. It grows on tall trees in the tropical forest, in the hot and humid regions in the south-east of the island of Madagascar where it is harvested by village communities. It can also be found on Réunion and Mauritius. It is often confused with the cubeb pepper. It is even called "country cubeb" in Mauritius. It is given other common names: brown betel nut, wild or betalle pepper.
